Product Description

Oxford Heritage 3D™ Slatted Cladding in Yellow Cedar is a capped four-slat composite cladding panel, 2500 × 219 × 26 mm, with recessed shadow gaps and a brushed woodgrain under a protective cap. A pale honey tone with straw highlights. Yellow Cedar is one of the four colours shared with our Wall Cladding. Stocked at our yard in Didcot, Oxfordshire.

  • £50.00 per m² inc. VAT (2 panels at £25.00; prices October 2026)
  • 0.50 m² per panel · 200 mm covering width · 2.0 panels per m²
  • 2.85 kg per linear metre (about 7.1 kg per panel)
  • Corner trims and end boards in Yellow Cedar
  • 20-year residential / 10-year commercial limited guarantee — full terms

Where Yellow Cedar works

  • Lifts shaded walls and suits small or shaded gardens.
  • Sits well alongside buff brick and Cotswold stone.
  • The palest of the four colours shared with our Wall Cladding, and one of the coolest on a sunny wall.

Design idea: a Yellow Cedar entrance niche on a dark building, or a full Yellow Cedar screen at the end of a narrow, shaded garden to bring light back into it.

Clad a whole building in Oxford Heritage 3D™ Wall Cladding in Yellow Cedar and pick out an entrance, a feature wall or a planter in Yellow Cedar slats. The finishes differ — embossed boards, brushed slats — so hold samples side by side before you mix them on one wall.

How many panels do I need?

Take the wall area in m², minus doors and windows, and allow 2.0 panels per m² (each panel covers 0.50 m², because part of it sits under its neighbour — plan with the 200 mm covering width, never the nominal 219 mm), adding 10% for windows, doors and angled tops.

Wall area Panels (2.5 m) Panels cost
5 m² 10 £250.00
10 m² 20 £500.00
15 m² 30 £750.00
20 m² 40 £1,000.00
30 m² 60 £1,500.00

Plain wall, panels only, inc. VAT — or send your wall sizes on WhatsApp to 07709 913846 for a panel count and a quote for the full kit.

Fixing and trims

Panels fix with cladding clips and M4.2 × 32 mm black Torx self-drilling screws to a ventilated batten frame at 400 mm centres, vertically or horizontally, with starter clips on the first panel. Finish the wall with corner trims (L-angle), corner profiles and end boards, made in all seven slatted colours. Full installation overview: Catalogue 02 (PDF).

Where you can use it

Garden rooms and offices, summerhouses, sheds, bin and bike stores, planters, screens and existing garden walls on battens. Composite cladding is combustible, we do not currently publish a reaction-to-fire class for it, and it cannot be used on the external walls of residential buildings with a storey 11 m or more above ground, or on relevant buildings 18 m or taller (Regulation 7(2) and Approved Document B, England), and rules are stricter within 1 m of a boundary. Check with your building control body before you clad any part of a house.

Questions

Is Yellow Cedar slatted cladding real cedar?

No. It is a capped wood-plastic composite in a pale honey, cedar-like tone. It needs no oiling or staining and keeps its colour, where real cedar turns silver-grey unless treated.

What goes with Yellow Cedar cladding?

Buff brick, Cotswold stone and light paving. It brightens a small or shaded garden and works as a warm feature panel on a grey or white wall.

Do slatted cladding panels need painting or staining?

No. The cap means no painting, staining, oiling or sealing. Wash with warm soapy water and a soft brush; if you use a pressure washer, keep a wide fan nozzle at least 300 mm from the surface. A little colour settling in the first months is normal.
